I unearthed this Miguel Campbell EP off of Hot Creation’s Soundcloud. This is truly funky.

“Excommunication” is a nu-disco rave machine. Play this at high volume for the full effect!

Audiojack has gotten on my list of favorites recently, and his rework of “Out of Time” is particularly good.

Guti’s latest releases on Defected Records have caught my attention. His style is quite laid back, and “La Casa” serves as a good soundtrack for lounging, wherever “Su Casa” is.

I can’t wait when Bara Bröst releases an EP, as “Morning Glory” has me wanting to hear more.

I usually find The XX to be too dark for my taste, but this Maya Jane Coles remix really brings out their excellent vocals.

Dusky’s new EP is another solid release from this deep house stalwart.

Ben Pearce’s remix of Le Youth’s “Cool” is a straight mood lifter, the chorus will get you rocking along hard.

Huxley’s latest remix of Joel Compass is also quite catchy.

Hey Squeezers,

I’ve been gone a while but I’m back in the game.  I’ve got a couple interesting tunes for y’all so I hope you enjoy.

Starts off a bit slow but turns into a pretty sexy tune with nice vocals.  This is one of Wankelmut’s newest singles; his remix of Asaf Avidan’s One Day/Reckoning Song was all I heard when I was abroad.  Definitely one of the freshest up and coming DJs.

Intertwining vocals give this song a hypnotizing effect.

Needless to say, I’d rather crash my car into a bridge and watch and let it burn than listen to I Love It again.  Hot Mouth’s funky rework gives the Swedish duo’s hit song a different vibe.  I love it.

Categorized as “spacesynth”.  Accurate.  This song is called “Comet”.  Really, guys?  Anyway, this is a great, funky song that is indeed very space-like and danceable.  Great track to spin at your next extraterrestrial party.

Currently loving life due to all the different sounds and grooves coming in to support the summer season. This is a jam that fulfills that role. Norweigen producer Cashmere Cat delivers a cool romantic melody & an explosive switch up to Miguel’s own soulful rendition to a familiar after hours topic.

FLUME- HOLDIN ON (KAYTRANDA EDIT)

Another one of those guys who’s redefining the boundaries of electronic music at the moment. If you havent seen Kaytranada’s Boiler Room set yet, you dont know what your missing. The dude stole the show. Opening up with this edit of Flume’s hit ‘Holdin On’, it totally set the tone.

Ellie Gouding - My Blood (Kastle Remix)
This one has been a favorite at the parties I’ve been playing. A totally smooth, sing along tune to kick or cap off a night. A little bit of house and a little bit of trap equals a totally fresh vibe.

Umami - Sunny (Original Mix)
Ok so this is not really an underground jam (its been chillin in the Beatport top 10 for about two weeks now) but I had to throw it out there for any of you who might’ve missed it. Just a little tech house re up on a Marvin Gaye’s classic, this one has summertime classic written all over it.

CASSIE- ALL MY LOVE (KINGDOM EDIT)

Big big breaks tune here from LA native Kingdom. A lot of producers have been jumping on R&B vocals to support their style but in this case its the opposite with a unique twist and rhythm. This ones been getting love from Ryan Hemsworth, Obey City & Alaisizm to name a few.

Arnold - 4Seasons
I have no idea how I slept on this guy so long, but after hearing him bring the heat on collaborations with Mr.Carmack & UZ I had to check him out. Arnold is another one of those obscure dudes on Soundcloud who doesnt heavily promote himself and chooses to let his music do the talking. Ive picked one of his more recent efforts for this post, but you should check out his entire page. Special stuff.

Foals - Late Night (Solomun Remix)
Taking things down on a deeper more somber note, heres a moving remix by Solomun on Foal’s ‘Late Night’. This debuted last week on Pete Tong’s show last week as the Essential Tune, and it definitely lives up to that hype. It’s something different, but if you take the time to appreciate it, you wont regret it.

DC collective “Deliver the Funk” just released their first single in over six months! If you need help remembering their work check their last single out here. For everybody else whose on the same page, heres a little bit about  this track samples an vocal cover of Ti’s “Whatever You Like”. They took that and created a trapped out Munchi esque beat. The Hi Snares are strong with this one. Check it out!

I dont always listen to glitch, but to be honest making an exceptio for this guy.”DJ ROME” newest EP is a nice blend of glitch, some nice classical piano, a nice kick drum, and melodic synths bundled into one package

Whats good homies. Hope you guys have had the chance to give a good listen to R.A.M sometime this week. Regardless of if it exceeded or disappointed your expectations, i think we can all agree that the record is a unique piece of work. Personally, it stirred up some emotions and inspiration for me, and I ended up spending the day pickin and searchin for the special batch of jams you see below. Knock yourself out

Leikeli47 - Heard Em Say (Feat. Curt@!n$)
HARD ass tune right here. Whether your workin out, gettin ready to go out, or just rollin out the crib in the early mornin, this is a jam that sets a tone. Snatched off Brodinski’s Late Night Alternative mix, which in itself is a gold mine for underground gems (Ive downloaded around 6 tracks from it already), this record packs a verbal punch and a next level instrumental.

DIRTY PROJECTORS- THE SOCIALITES (ALUNA GEORGE REMIX)

This track is a really nice example of the evolution of the dance music industry. Finally, after years of a lady’s role in EDM being predominantly for vocal talent and presence on stage, were now seeing an incredible transformation of the versatility in abilities from female artists. Aluna George, who many of you may know as the singer on Disclosure’s smash hit ‘White Noise’, showcases her own break beat style of production in this remix of ‘The Socialites’.

Cleavage - My Body
So ill just go ahead and be honest, the first 20 seconds of this tune is what actually what initially caught my interest. R Kelly is that dude! Jokes. But really, you have no idea what your in for. Waittt for it.

Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You (King Henry Bootleg)
Ok so I know Frank is up there with Lana in the category of easiest artist to remix/sample, but your honestly not giving this track justice unless you give this re edit a go. King Henry gives a fresh shake up of the original record that attacks a totally different angle and feel than any other remix I’ve heard. Keep an eye out for this kid, hes like a little bit of Cashmere Cat, Four Tet and Flying Lotus all in one.

Caspa & Partysquad - Let the Rush Kick In
Catchy little collabo from none other than heavy bass vets Caspa & The Partysquad. Meshing the sounds of classic english dubstep with upbeat reggae vibes, ‘Let the Rush Kick In’ easily catches your ears from the start, and builds up fast into a hip swaying, head bobbing drop. Coming soon to a beach party near you.

TWRK X 4KORNERS- WORK

This might be the most ratchet twerk anthem I’ve ever come across, and thats saying…..alot. Play at own risk.

FERGIE- GLAMOROUS (JONAS LR REMIX)

Smooth little summer jam from the house homie Jonas LR. This guy can seriously do no wrong at the moment, and following up his massive re boot of Rihanna, hes npw added a bit of his flavor of funk to Fergie’s ‘Glamorous’. This one however is alittle better suited to chill out than turn up too.

Joy Orbison - Donell
Classy vibes captain Joy Orbison delivers a sweet baseline to ride along with some jazzy soul on the vocals to roll up this late night cafe closer.

I.V.- LIFE IN WAITING

Ending things on a more somber note, heres a chilled out groove and sound unlike anything I’ve ever heard before. The vocals are a bit emotionaly but the melody is just perfect.
